This is my fifth year teaching in Brooklyn. Ours is a Title I school, which means all students receive free lunch due to their low-income backgrounds. This coming school year will be my first time teaching Kindergarten. I really need help in obtaining primary materials for the new classroom. I've been teaching 3rd and 4th grades for the past four years. The level of materials I have is way too mature for the lower grades. I need to start fresh, collecting things that are grade-appropriate for Kindergarteners. I believe that children learn through playing games. There are lots of game out there for kindergarteners that will encourage cooperation and following directions, even before they learn to read. It would be great to create a game center for these young learners. These Pre-Reading Games Sets will be a great start! I would really appreciate it if a donor could offer us a helping hand.
