Kindergarteners Building Kindness and Unity Through Reading

Help me give my students the gift of reading and respecting differences. I want my kindergarteners to learn that although our outward appearances may be different, we can be kind and fair to each other and celebrate others.

My Project

The most amazing attribute about kindergartners are that they are excited about learning! Curiosity and exploration are natural for them. My goal is to make sure they're just as equally excited about kindness, fairness, and respectful of differences, and to exist peacefully with others.

Books are often our first source of exploration, imagination, reading, relational experiences and wonder.

My hope is to expose kindergarteners to the magic of reading and help them understand how we can all operate in kindness and fairness. The overall goal is to teach them that kindness, fairness, and respect of differences (for themselves and others) are positive skills that will transcend through life. These books will provide positive and powerful reinforcement of differences, diversity, kindness and respect for all.
