My Students

I have a group of 25 inquisitive kindergartners. Our school is part of an amazing community and we all work together to ensure each student loves learning. I have a diverse group of students, ranging in ages from 4 to 6 years old.

They love to create, explore, play and work together.

They are eager to learn and love hands on experiences. They are energetic and inquisitive, and full of wonder. Every day they come to school full of wonder and ready to learn.

My Project

Every day we use whiteboards to write on - either to practice handwriting, write numbers, or for word building. My students need smaller, lined magnetic white boards to help form letters correctly. The lines will allow them to actually practice correct letter formation as we are learning it whole group on the carpet. Every day we do word building, where we break apart and put back together the sounds in a word and then the students write it on a whiteboards. The whiteboards we have now are so big that there isn't enough room to put them down in front of them and are blank, so the students are not forming the letters correctly. These boards will help improve our skills tremendously.
