This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our Kindergarten students are wonderful and caring children with a bright educational future ahead of them. I want to provide my new students with the right start they need and deserve when they begin their educational careers. My goal is to make their first school experience a tremendous one.

Our students are motivated to learn, play, and achieve success!

Our school has made tremendous gains over the past 12 years, moving from one of the lowest-performing schools in the area to achieving the honor of being named a Distinguished School! We are an example of a community of students, teachers, parents, and staff, all working together for academic achievement. Our hope is that many of our students will be the first generation in their family to go to college!

My Project

My students are going to love using these watercolor supplies to create beautiful works of art.

The watercolor paints and pens will give students an opportunity to paint in a new way.

The traditional watercolors we have currently are so messy because the colors easily get mixed up and soon the students are painting with different shades of brown.

The liquid watercolors are perfect for this age because each paint can be placed in a cup with its own paint brush. Now, they are less likely to get mixed up. The watercolor pens will be so fun too especially for my students who are still working on their fine motor skills. These pens will be a good starting place for them because they will have more control with the pens. We can't wait to create art with our new supplies!
