This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our kindergarten students are eager to learn and are full of questions! They love coming to school each day and are always ready to try new things!

We want to create an environment where our students feel comfortable and can have fun learning and exploring!

We incorporate a variety of learning strategies and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are an incredible group, and we are so lucky and thankful to have a group of learners that are excited and ready to learn!

My Project

We sent home lots and lots of materials for our kindergarteners this year--little discs for counting, cubes with letters, and more. The great supplies of manipulatives in my classroom are a bit dwindled these days.

Letter tubs include items that start with each letter of the alphabet--even x--to make letter sounds come to life for students.

Counting bears and two sided circles do the same thing for math.

We have 30 kids in each of three kindergarten classes, and we try to keep learning fun and relevant every day. A Scholastic science magazine subscription is a great tool for emerging readers (plus there are great pictures).
