Kindergarten Students Expressing Feelings Through Art

My students need art supplies like moon sand, dot paint and collage materials in order to provide opportunities for them to develop intellectually, along with encouraging individualism and building their self esteem.

My Students

My students love creating art. During planning time, the art area is the first center to fill up! Art gives each child in my class an opportunity to express individuality, be successful, and use their vivid imaginations.

The children I teach are curious, loving and creative little people.

Many of the students come from low income families. They also come from culturally diverse backgrounds. I am always seeking ways to inspire my students and give them opportunities to express themselves. Children love to create beautiful works of art. The problem is that we keep running out of materials because kindergarten requires many new materials each year. With the requested donations, our class will be artistically enhanced. An Art Center is a very important part of a classroom. I believe the children in our class will be able to expand their creativity with the art supplies suggested. Children are proud to see their creations hung throughout the class.

My Project

I am in need of art materials for my young children to create designs, drawings, and craft projects. I want to make sure I have the mediums to give my young students an amazing year. The moon sand and dough I am requesting will become the perfect medium for numerous types of imaginative play and can represent so many things in my students' eyes. The students can use the people shapes art kit to create paper dolls that represent themselves in the present and the future, which will also support the school district's college and career ready curriculum. The dot markers, stamp pads and glitter glue can awaken and stimulate the students' art center and also help students with their fine motor planning and coordination. Having this project funded will allow our students to dig deep into their creativity and know what art really is. Having the opportunity to be able to do many different art projects in the classroom will be such an enjoyment for the students.

My kindergarten students will be provided with many more creative opportunities by receiving these wonderful supplies.

I know my students will appreciate the many projects they will engage in if this project is funded. Hands-on learning is the best for young students!
