My Students

This project will benefit 24 kindergarten students, including exceptional students with fine motor and speech delays. Some students live in non-traditional homes, including living with grandparents and in single parent homes.

My young students come to school eager to learn.

When children enter the classroom, they come with a range of capabilities. Their learning styles include a mixture of visual, aural, verbal and physical. My students need an organized work space and easily accessible materials to help them be successful.

My Project

I am requesting seat pouches for my kindergarten classroom. The seat pouches are needed to store student materials, including headphones, notebooks, pencil boxes, etc. They will be used this year and also in future years.

The seat pouches will decrease student transition times by having instructional materials within reach of students.

My students will be less distracted during instruction periods with their materials located near their main work area. They will not have to search through the classroom storage crates for their individual materials.

The seat pouch will also allow students to build basic organization skills. By being organized students gain skills needed for a lifetime of success.
