My Project
This is my first year in the public school setting. I will be teaching Kindergarten, and I am so excited to have this opportunity to be in this position. I get to meet my new students next week. Some of these children will be new to school, so I want to ensure that I give them a great setting that has them feel relaxed and not scared to start a new journey in their lives.
This project is great because it includes items that will allow different options, such as seating or small groups, throughout the school day.
For example, having cushions for them to sit on the floor whenever they want to switch seating options throughout the day is great. The stools will be a great asset for small group meetings with me each day. The lamps will be amazing as they change colors so they can do work and feel calm with the different colors. The word games will be a great tool for small group time as well. The clock will be helpful for students to learn how to tell time and skip counting. The markers will be great as a whole for our Kindergarten team to ensure every class will have markers for our students.
Although I have not met my students yet, I know I will get to know them, love them, and provide them with a wonderful space to learn new things and grow in many ways that will help them feel confident in their academics and within themselves.
