Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

With an enrollment of approximately 220 students, each class typically comprises 25 students per instructor on average. The district experiences frequent student mobility, emphasizing the significance of maximizing our instructional time. Many students start kindergarten below expected proficiency levels, underlining the critical role of the early elementary grades. Our students display exceptional enthusiasm for learning and are remarkably eager to acquire knowledge.

Ensuring that my Kindergarten students have access to essential school materials like crayons, pencils, erasers, and a quality pencil sharpener will promote a conducive learning environment.

Despite the absence of external financial support or a parent-teacher association for fundraising, our school relies solely on personal contributions to equip classrooms with the necessary supplies and tools.

Our students exhibit remarkable dedication to their academic pursuits. I am dedicated to promoting a sense of community within our elementary school and facilitating opportunities for students to enhance their social and emotional competencies through collaborative endeavors in small and large group settings.
