Kindergarten Rocks When Everyone Feels Welcomed!

Help me give my students a "rock solid" first experience in school! Students will be welcomed to my Kindergarten classroom and each child will have a space to sit on our Stone Rug!

My Project

After 18 years in education, this will be my first year teaching Kindergarten. I want to create a calm, inviting place for my students, many of whom are starting school for the first time ever!

The Stone Rug will make it easy to ensure everyone has a place to sit when it's time for morning meeting or time to share one of our rock-themed stories.

Calm and inviting decor will make the classroom a welcome place for the wonderfully diverse students that make up our community! As we add in more play-based learning in Kindergarten, the tactile rocks and tracing blocks will make learning letters, numbers and cooperation fun!
