My Project

My class is a very special group of children. They are an extremely diverse group encompassing many cultural backgrounds. Together we make a beautiful learning community. We are bursting with energy and are eager to learn.

Decodable readers will boost my students reading skills and help them gain the confidence in reading they need in order to excel academically.

My goal is to accelerate their learning by targeting student needs in small groups. I will be able to provide texts that align with the phonics skills that students are working on, and give my students an opportunity to be successful in reading. Copies of books will give my students the learning experiences they need to develop strong foundational skills. Students will have the opportunity to practice the skills and strategies they are taught during phonics instruction, and apply them while reading real books
