Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Everyday is a new adventure awaiting my 40 preschool students. Their joy of learning is evident as they walk inside, eager to share connections learned between their school/real world experiences. As one of the most diverse schools in the country my classroom is a true global community. I am fortunate to serve scholars comprised of over 12 languages/cultures, of native, refugee, and immigrant statuses, with a significant population at/below poverty level. They bring more joy to me than they know!
My Project
Kindergarten readiness comes in all disciplines, curriculums, and now environments. The selected items will provide significant support over the summer months for my students entering kindergarten. Students who do not have accessibility to traditional supplies and manipulatives.
Math, literacy, critical thinking skills, and fine motor development, are all supported in the home environment with these Kindergarten Readiness tools.
With a parent and activity book to help support our families, students can continue intentional engagement and academic skills inside their "first classroom"-their home. Thank you for helping to support Early Learning...our future leaders thank you as well!
