This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"Practice Civility" is something I tell my students everyday.
In Kindergarten we need to develop and teach these skills.
My students are bright, enthusiastic and eager to learn. They are appreciative and respectful of our limited supplies. Due to budget cuts many of the supplies we need are simply not available.
My Project
I strongly believe for my students to have a solid foundation in civility they need to have an opportunity to practice social interaction skills and manners. My goal is to have my children career and college ready.
A strong foundation in civility is necessary to meet that goal.
Children need a chance to practice talking to each other in kindergarten to develop these skills later in life. I will utilize The Market place and the store items to allow my students an opportunity to develop and practice these skills in an authentic environment.
