We desperately need to replace our painting easels. They are 20 years old, rusty and falling apart. Sixty Kindergartners from 3 classes at Frost School in South San Jose use these easels every week. They love to paint. Sometimes they write stories to go along with their paintings, which helps them to develop their imaginations, their creativity, and their literacy. Our easels are kept under a covered patio so they can be used all year long. We need 4 3-sided easels so a group of 12 children at a time can paint. We rotate the children so they all get a chance to paint. We have a very diverse population. Out of 20 of my students, 13 receive free lunch. Most of these children have never attended preschool, so this is their first experience at easel painting. Please help us continue to inspire creativity and cognitive development--among our current Kindergartners, and those for years to come--by providing them with painting easels. Thank You!
