Kindergarten NeedsTo Flourish

My students need math manipulatives and games, such as Bingo and peg number boards, to help them learn the foundations of mathematics.

My Students

We are a newly formed Kindergarten class in a low income neighborhood. We have limited materials, but we are so eager to learn. My class is full of energy and already a love of learning! We are a Kindergarten class in the trailers. We are a newly formed class with minimal resources.

Our class is an energetic, silly, fun class.

They are eager to learn and love math. Most of our student's cannot afford the basic school supplies so those costs fell on me. I could not let them suffer because of economic circumstance. I cannot afford all of the supplies needed to teach math effectively and the school budget does not allows us to purchase these materials.

My Project

In an ideal world I would be able to purchase all of the supplies my students need and they would flourish in becoming wonderful mathematicians. I cannot afford these supplies and neither can the parents. My students need Math manipulatives and games to help them learn the foundations of mathematics. It is imperative that children learning the basics and foundations of mathematics use hands on manipulatives to help them grasp concepts of everyday math.

I want for these children, who already have low income circumstances, to be given every opportunity in education to develop a love of learning.

Making Math fun is so important to help students want to learn and see learning as fun and not redundant. Keeping learning entertaining is all a student needs to help them flourish. These children are our future, please help me show them that learning is fun and exciting!
