My Students

The students of our school AMAZE ME on a daily basis. EXCITEMENT and ENGAGEMENT while learning are my top goals as a kindergarten teacher. Keeping students excited about learning, and engaged in lessons starting in kindergarten, is key to a successful educational experience.

The 25 kindergarten students in my class attend an all day kindergarten session at CDSA.

This particular project will benefit students of my kindergarten classroom.

CDSA is located in Boise, Idaho. We are an Arts Magnet School located within the West Ada School District. This year we have expanded and are currently servicing a little bit over 550 students grades K-6. Our school is located in an urban Idaho district that services a diverse population of students. The students of our school come from a variety of economic backgrounds & situations, and are able to attend this public school of choice, for an opportunity to focus on the arts.

My Project

My students are in need of classroom supplies to help enhance their school year. At our school we complete many art projects throughout the year. These are non-typical school supplies for some schools. We are in need of some specialty paint supplies such as liquid watercolor paint, non-traditional colors of tempera paint, etc.

In addition to paint supplies, we are looking for various media's to use in kindergarten such as crayons, markers, pastels, and markers.

Our classroom is also looking for funding for construction and learning games that can be used for Kindergarten students to reteach and practice skills learned.
