I am a kindergarten teacher. I am inspired by 20 beautiful children everyday. These students work hard every day to learn and grow.
I love that my students are so supportive of each other and enjoy working together to come up with solutions and different ways to collaborate.
My job besides teaching standards is to provide an inviting environment where the students feel comfortable learning and celebrate each milestone in our classroom together as a family. For some, our classroom may be their safe haven.
My students work in groups every single day. We are required to use technology in the classroom, but it gets hard to have kids circling around a computer screen to see. With these iPads, all students will be able to work together, seeing the screen and collaborating with each other-even in Kindergarten!
Students in my class really enjoy working with each other and work really well together. They would be ecstatic to receive iPads to work with! It would help them to all be able to contribute to their work with the use of technology.
My Project
We should never let our students think that their classroom is just the four walls around them. It is essential that students know that the world is their classroom, and the iPad is a great way for students to connect and collaborate with students anywhere in the world.
We can use our iPad as a document camera with the Create 3D models, build posters using great photography apps, and create a special effects movie.
In our classroom we will use our iPad using educational apps to help in literacy concepts, mathematical as well as science research.
