My Students
I teach in the heart of Dallas, Texas. Coming into my first year of teaching, I was determined to treat my classroom as a community and wanted my students to view everyone as a family. The neighborhood that some of my students come from is not always the nicest or the safest, so I wanted to really create a safe and loving space in my classroom.
Every morning, we start off with a sharing piece because I really want to know how each of my students is feeling every day.
Some days are good, some days are bad, but it means a lot to them to get whatever they need to off their chest.
We have just created such a fun and loving atmosphere where everyone loves to learn and think critically, and I think that's the best part of our classroom!
My Project
Mathematics is such an important tool in aiding the growth and mind of young scholars. My students have been doing such a fantastic job so far this year with math, but I feel like engaging math centers will help them become even better.
Math has a major role in a child's development and it helps children to make sense of the world around them.
These math centers and manipulatives will help children explore counting objects, addition, and subtraction. With these engaging math games, the children will be able to learn and explore with math! We will be grateful if you helped to fund our project.
