My Project

My classroom is play-based. Our best learning happens through play and exploration of the world around us. Most of the time we might use natural elements or recycled materials as our math manipulatives. However, at times, we benefit from the use of additional tools.

These tools will support students in representing their ideas in more than one way, promote communication between students, and lead to a deeper understanding of what numbers represent.

These tools are almost all made of natural materials which is a keep element of our classroom. The wood materials will fit in well with other aspects of our room.
