Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are fun-loving, curious and excited about new books. Every morning we start off with a read-aloud, they love to hear and discuss every book!

Reading aloud is a way to honor students' culture and interests, as well as build background and vocabulary.

Through books students can learn how to deal with their emotions, how to be mindful and immerse themselves in whole new worlds. A classroom library brings both diversity and visibility to our classroom. With a bookshelf display stand, we will be able to change out our monthly themed books for the whole class to use.
