My students are predominantly African American, with a small percentage of Hmong, Caucasian, and Native students. My students are very resilient and crave an engaging and caring environment where they feel comfortable to learn and grow. Some of my students are still learning early reading and math concepts, while others are ready for more advanced learning. 91% of our student population qualifies for free and reduced lunch. My students love to play games and stay active. They thrive in activities that keep them actively engaged and learning.
My Project
The items I have ordered will help my incoming Kindergarteners learn to love school! Every student will be able to read new books at their level, and use the dramatic play items to learn and practice using social skills. These items will encourage them to learn and be comfortable in my classroom.
