Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a low socioeconomic area. Our school is a Title 1 school with 100% free lunch. Most of my students do not have basic school supplies, books, or resources like internet or computers. I would like to create a learning tool care package to give them the materials that they need to continue learning. Teachers did not have time to put together any materials for the students when school closures were announced.

My students and their families are doing the best they can with what they have.

They are working hard, however, having more resources and learning tools would be so beneficial for them.

My Project

My little learners are missing a crucial time in kindergarten. They were just learning how to write sentences and use the words that they learned. They need materials at home to be successful while working at home.

Please help my sweet littles continue to learn by practicing writing.

I would like to give them primary writing paper, large pencils for their little hands and crayons to help them illustrate what they wrote. Writing is a very important skill needed to be successful in first grade. I would hope through our virtual learning that they will continue to learn and grow.
