My Project

This year I am teaching a very excited, very enthusiatic group of Kindergarten kids!

They love to learn through play-based activities, use manipulatives, talk with their friends, and explore the world around them.

In Kindergarten we focus a lot of our time on number identification, counting, number writing, letter identification, letter sounds, handwriting, etc. These hands-on materials will help get the kids excited about the letters and numbers. We tend to stay away from the traditional paper and pencil type of teaching/learning. Our kindergarten team knows that little ones learn best by play and hands-on learning.

I feel like offering these new materials to my students will get them excited about learning their "ABCs and 123s". All of these new materials will be used to make a new learning center in our classroom. In this new center, the kids will focus on number identification, counting, letter identification, letter sounds, matching, patterning, word building, and much more. Using the light table and the light table accessories will make it new and exciting for them.
