Help me give my students innovative STEM hands-on experiences with engineering building blocks, microscopes, and Take Apart Toys! Kindergarteners love science and math!
My students are mostly from non-English speaking households.
Some of my students have just arrived in the United States with parents who do not speak English.
Despite the many challenges they face, they come ready each day to learn and play with the most positive attitudes.
It has been a true blessing to watch my students learn and grow. A day in our classroom consists of enthusiasm, energy, and excitement. Every accomplishment, big or small, is celebrated! We love to learn through play and hands-on materials.
My Project
Hands-on...innovative... scientists...mathematicians....All words to describe our kindergarteners! Please help my students learn how to create, build and explore. In this project, I have asked for hands-on science and math STEM center activities. There are magnets for building to experiment with balance and structure! My students love to build towers taller than them! I have also included items with wheels. The kids can explore motion and build actual items that move. Kindergarten is a year of exploration. The kids will have the opportunity to experiment with building different animals using real world tools which will help with real world problems and experiences. Another item to enhance my kids learning is a set of books all about science. I'd like to incorporate more STEM books into our classroom library! Please help us explore, discover and solve real world problems with our hands-on materials!
