Kindergarten, Here We Come!

Help me give my students basic school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, coloring supplies, folders, file boxes, dry erase markers and other supplies for our our return to the classroom in September!

My Students

My students are a diverse group of kids; some are coming to school to the first time, have special needs or are even English language learners who may be new to the country. They all come from very different home environments. Some of my students are lucky enough to live with their parents and siblings, while others may live with their grandparents or other guardians.

Like last year, I know this year may be filled with uncertainly and I am preparing for any situation that we may be faced with.

There are tons of guidelines that will still be place next school year and as always, we will have to adapt as we go.

My Project

After a few years teaching 1st grade, this September I am making my way back to Kindergarten! I am so excited for this change of pace as we (hopefully) return to a normal school year.

Kindergarten is the first school experience for many students and it is important for me to be sure it is a welcoming and memorable one, especially in a new post-COVID-19 world.

COVID-19 has been difficult for many, especially the hard working families in our school's community. My goal is to be able to provide all my students the necessary school supplies needed, without putting the financial burden on families. Each student will get their very own set of supplies that they will use each day in class. They will each receive coloring supplies, notebooks, and folders which they will use in all subject areas each day. File boxes and bins will keep all their belongings safe and tidy. I am also asking for some teacher supplies that will be used in our every day instruction and for special projects.

Here's to having a great school year filled with all the necessities for learning and growth. Kindergarten, here we come!
