Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is mostly filled with new students who have immigrated to the U.S to receive a better education. As a teacher I want to give them the best chance at an education possible. Since summer break is coming around the corner my students won't have access to any educational materials because their parents can't afford it.

In an effort to try and help my students learn even when school is not in session, at the end of the year I want to provide them with goody bags that are filled with alphabet flash cards, number flash cards, shapes, some toys, and other activities where they can learn their colors.

This "goodie bag" will give them the chance to start to prepare for kindergarten over the summer. Despite all the hurdles my students have faced there is not one day where they are not eager to learn or put in effort in their work. If given the right tools I know they will be able to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. I will introduce these materials before I send them home. To ensure my students get the resources they need I am asking for your help to give them the education they deserve.
