My Students
I teach kindergarten to a group of students who are excited to learn and love being at school. We call ourselves a classroom family and we love to learn from one another. The students are given a voice and know how to use it to express their understanding, concerns, findings, and more.
The best part of kindergarten is that the children do not even realize how much they are learning since they learn through centers and structured play a majority of the day.
My children in kindergarten make so much growth academically, socially, emotionally, in their self skills and more! Kindergarten is a huge year of growth and I am so happy to be a part of it!
My Project
My students need floor pillows so I can offer a variety of seating types; floor, standing, or chairs. Having a variety of seating types is called flexible seating. These floor pillows will allow students to sit at floor height tables and complete desk activities.
Having a variety of seating options allows students to chose the seating type that best fits their learning styles.
Many students need to have room to move and bounce that they can not do safely while seated in a chair, but can while standing at a standing height table or while kneeling or sitting on a floor pillow. Having flexible seating will allow the children to have choice and chose what best meets their learning needs through out the day.
