This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love how curious, creative, and eager to learn my kindergarten students are. They come to school each day excited to explore, create, and try their best, and they especially thrive when learning is hands-on and engaging. Watching their confidence grow as they practice new skills and express their ideas is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

The resources in this project are everyday essentials that make a big difference in their learning.

Pencils designed for little hands help students build strong writing habits and confidence. Dry erase markers and whiteboards allow students to practice skills in an interactive way, giving them the freedom to try, make mistakes, and try again. Colored pencils and markers provide opportunities for students to show their understanding creatively, helping bring learning to life in a way that feels fun and meaningful to them.

Laminating pouches will allow me to create durable cards and materials for learning stations, so students can practice important skills through engaging, hands-on games that we can use again and again. These resources will help create a classroom environment where students feel excited to learn, supported in their growth, and inspired to be both thinkers and creators every day.
