This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love teaching kindergarten because every day is filled with discovery, laughter, and growth. My students are naturally curious, imaginative, and eager to learn. For many of them, kindergarten is their very first experience in a structured school environment. That means they are not only learning how to read and count, but also how to take turns, solve problems, share ideas, and believe in themselves.

What makes my students special is how joyful and determined they are.

Even when something is challenging, they don’t give up—they keep trying. They light up when they figure something out on their own or work together to build something new. I want to keep that joy of learning alive by giving them tools that meet their developmental needs and support learning through hands-on play.

This project includes puzzles, Magna-Tiles, and STEM activity kits, which are perfect for young learners. Each of these resources serves a purpose:

Puzzles help develop hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and spatial reasoning. They also encourage perseverance and critical thinking—skills that are essential for future academic success.

Magna-Tiles allow my students to build, design, and explore through open-ended play. They foster creativity, introduce basic geometry concepts, and encourage teamwork as students build together.

STEM activities provide exciting opportunities to engage with early science, technology, engineering, and math. These hands-on projects make learning real and memorable—helping students explore how things work, and build confidence in their problem-solving skills.

The goal for this project is to create a rich learning environment that supports every type of learner—visual, kinesthetic, creative, and logical. With your support, we can give my students the chance to build, discover, and dream every day.
