My students need 3 Raise-a-Frog kits, a Ant Lantis Kit and 2 packs of Butterfly Larvae.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Randle's classroom raised $163
This project is fully funded
We are a high needs kindergarten classroom and school. This is our first year as a Title 1 school. That means over 40% of the students are on free and reduced lunch.
Being that we are a Title 1 School, our parents try to help out as much as possible with their time, but can not always assist financially. They do not always have money to help with special projects. For the past three years this project has been funded out of my own pocket. I want my kids to have the best hands-on experience they can. My past students still stop by every year to see what my current students are growing and hatching this time.
I feel my students deserve the best kindergarten experience possible. Having these type of hands-on resources available makes all the difference. Annually, my kindergarten class has the opportunity to help build and maintain habitats for ants, tadpoles/frogs, and butterflies. They not only learn about the animals anatomy and behaviors they also learn responsibility and respect for living animals. Studying about them is one thing, but having examples of the actual animal makes all the difference.
Your help will ensure that my students get the supplies necessary to make our Insects and Amphibians Unit of Study a success again this year.
