Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For basic coordination and colors, we are requesting crayons and pencils to begin the challenge of the school year.
All the students are American born with the majority of their parents coming from different countries along with different cultures.
Most of the parents speak little or no English. Students speak mostly English in schools and some speak Spanish at home. Thus, it is important for them to get as much English support at school. Drawing and writing, especially in the beginning of the school year, would give the students that support that they need.
My Project
They will learn the basic colors and shapes using the crayons. Any kind of creative drawings will come from using crayons. They will learn how to hold writing utensils correctly. They will also learn how to write the letters of the alphabets and from there, they will be able to write words and practice writing words using pencils. The crayons and pencils will help the students learn small motor coordination.
It is our goal as teacher to have our students, who are from poor economic families, to receive the best education possible.
It is important for them to learn how to use the basic tools for writing and drawing.
