All the students are American born with the majority of their parents coming from different countries along with different cultures. Most of the parents speak little or no English. Students speak mostly English in schools and some speak Spanish at home. Thus, it is important for them to get as much English support at school. Drawing and writing, especially in the beginning of the school year, would give the students that support that they need.
