My students are inquisitive and full of wonder.
They amaze me every day with their love of learning. Each one of them strives to be the best that they can be. Not only do they love to learn, but they also love to help others learn. We are constantly learning from one another. We are a classroom community where each person is valued and respected. My students come from a wide range of backgrounds and have varying academic abilities.
Each day, I work hard to create a positive learning environment for my students. I am always looking for fun, creative ways to engage them in their learning. I have 18 eager kindergarten learners. Every student who enters my classroom develops a great love of learning.
They work hard all day and never cease to make me proud. Our school is an older building and lacks the materials to serve our overcrowded student population. I would love to be able to provide my students with a rich environment and materials to explore all areas of their imagination and the world around them.
My Project
With the Botley the Coding Robot class set, my students will work together to solve problems and expand their thinking. We will be able to use robotics with various subjects. Math, science and language arts will all be integrated as we use beginning coding to control our robots. We can also draw shapes or maps that the robots can follow. We can write in our journals about different projects we have tried, the outcomes of these projects, and plans for our future programming projects. There are so many opportunities available to us through beginning robotics!
Programming these robots will give my students the chance to collaborate, problem solve, and explore a world that might not be available to them without these donations.
Technology is such an integral part of society today and surrounds everything we do. Introducing robotics at an early age is critical to inspire the next generation of makers. These materials will expand our thinking and our minds, while making learning fun and engaging!
