Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

For some of my students, this is their first experience in school. In kindergarten it is extremely important to build foundational skills that children will carry on for the rest of their educational career. These children love to listen to stories, play, have fun, and be engaged in hands on activities.

As a kindergartner, some children have experienced school in Pre-K.

For others, this is their first time in school. Kindergartners love school and love to learn! It is so exciting to learn to recognize letters, spelling patterns, to read, and do math! These young scholars love showing off their new learned skills!

My Project

These kindergartners will use the literacy and math manipulatives to assist in engaging, hands-on learning. They will be able to visually see addition and subtraction, students will be able to build puzzles with sight words, and have access to early reader books that motivate and help gain the confidence in reading that these students need!

This project will make a huge difference to students as it will give them access to many hands-on tools and book sets that will grow and develop the foundational skills required to succeed in school.

Students will gain confidence in their learning and build a love for learning that has the potential to continue forward in their school career through fun, motivational activities. It is vital to make the early years of learning fun and engaging to help spark that love of education.
