Help me give my students a reading corner that is welcoming and kid-friendly! Right now we don't have a comfortable reading corner or a good shelf for books. This shelf perfectly displays books so kids want to read!

My Project
This shelf will allow students to browse books, find new interests, and practice reading skills with their friends in the reading corner! I want this classroom library space to be cozy, academic, and playful, while also being functional for all students.
Right now we have a shelf that is old and damaged and does not display books for kindergarteners to find easily or feel represented.
For students to find enjoyment in reading they need a practical and accessible bookshelf so students can really dive into literature and feel the adventures of the stories!
This donation of a sturdy and kid-friendly bookshelf will help kindergarteners find books independently, treat books gently by having a clear spot where books go, and it will help them pick up books they might often not choose! This shelf displays book covers so kids can try new things and see themselves represented in our classroom library.
Lastly, this bookshelf will help us discover play and imagination within reading. The two spaces at the bottom of the shelf will allow us to keep stuffed animals to read to, magnifying glasses or flashlights for fun reading games, and also a place to store pillows so we can comfortably sit and read books every day!
We thank you in advance for supporting our classroom and our sweet little kinders who just LOVE to read at school!
