My Project

I teach Kindergarten at an Elementary School in Big Lake Alaska. While I love my school and my students our kindergarten classrooms are very small. To help us have space to do learning center and other developmentally appropriate activities in Kindergarten, I have flexible seating in our classroom. Flexible seating also allows my student to sit or stand in the way they learn best. Many students with ADHD and Sensory issues need to have choices about how they sit while learning while still having the freedom to move within a teacher directed environment. To continue with flexible seating and reduce the need for more furniture in my classroom. I need individual student book pouches so my students can carry their supplies to and from their work areas rather than using bins on a shelf. I can hang the book bags/ pouch on their lockers. Giving us more space to use our classroom for learning activities.
