My Project
The bulk of this project is dedicated to rest mats. As a kindergarten teacher, it is important to have quality rest mats. Rest time is only 15 minutes, but it is a way to regulate and calm children and reminds them that mindfulness helps us all learn and communicate better. Other than the rest mats, I am asking for help purchasing snacks for the classroom and tools to help regulate emotions.
I want to give all my students quality downtime.
Some of my students are unhoused, and these rest mats are sometimes the most comfortable part of their day.
