My Project

One of the most important aspects to being a kindergarten teacher is setting a strong foundation and love for reading. The goal in my classroom is to have 95 percent of my students leaving with on or above grade level reading abilities.

Many students struggle as they begin the process of learning to read.

These books will help to build my classroom library and help to engage my students with a variety of literature. As a second year teacher I am still working hard to accumulate a classroom library for my students. As my students engage in and discover a love of reading, they will have a desire to continue learning throughout their lives
