Kindergarten Centers: Learn by Doing

My Project

This is my 26th year teaching primary-aged students, I continue to strive for a balance between guided instruction and open-ended exploration. I have recently been inspired to invite students to experience concepts for themselves through open-ended activities and collaboration.

This project includes a variety of materials, literacy games, felt stories with a board, math manipulatives, art supplies and more, to peak student interest and prompt exploration tied to concepts.

With a variety of learning tools, I hope to provide my students with ample opportunity for hands-on engagement. When students are able to have choice, as well as time to explore both independently and with peers, they are more motivated and less off-task.

I want my classroom culture to promote creativity, curiosity, and cooperation. With your help, students can get their hands on these engaging learning tools, and we can keep materials organized and accessible in the classroom. Let's support learning by doing!
