Help me give my students Early Language Folder Game Libraries. These activities will help reinforce the learning that we are doing in learning to read.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My kindergarteners live in a diverse neighborhood consisting of hard-working people and unfortunately, many bad influences. Their parents often work more than one job to make ends meet. Many parents are English language learners themselves and cannot always help the students with their homework. They are lucky to attend a school that may be poor but has an administration with bold ambitions for them.
This year, we are going to combine hard work with fun activities to help the children's reading levels soar!
My Project
My students are just learning the alphabet on their way to learning to read. Some parents are able to help their children but others are learning English themselves and can’t read with their children. After we learn letters, the students can have fun working in small groups while practicing what we’ve worked on as a class. These games are so much fun that the students don’t even realize that they are working on important skills! My students are able to help their classmates when they’re done leaning so they can use these resources to be the teacher as well as the student.
