My Students
Our program serves families with children from birth to kindergarten entry.
"The question is not whether we can afford to invest in every child; it is whether we can afford not to." -Marion Wright Edelman.
Our program is located in our early childhood center and we share several of the same students and families. Many of our families are low income and come from a variety of family circumstances. Our birth to three students and preschool students are excited to learn and experience life to its fullest.
My Project
Due to COVID 19 we are currently visiting with our students virtually instead of in person home visits. Many of our families do not have the needed materials to support our lesson plans. These fine motor and literacy tools will be used to make up virtual visit supply kits for our Kindergarten Bootcamp visits. These visits are specialized for children that will be attending kindergarten in the Fall of 2022.
This will allow our students to continue to practice virtual visit learning activities in their home between virtual visits.
This will help close the kindergarten readiness gap for our students and encourage parental support of student learning.
