My Students

My scholars are eager to learn and are energized to explore new tools. We are a 100% title one and 100% minority school. We use all available resources to ensure our scholars receive a quality education. Our students are fortunate to have a school community that cares about their future success.

My scholars strive to learn and achieve greatness.

The majority of my scholars are behind and require additional support to ensure they move from kindergarten to first grade on grade level. My goal is to ensure 100% engagement 100% of the time.

Being a first year teacher, I have been able to borrow items from other teachers, but my goal is to ensure the classroom becomes a learning environment with materials that the scholars can call their own.

My Project

The bin will be used to separate various math and literacy stations or manipulatives. Students will be able to choose the manipulatives they need on their own by choosing the appropriate bin. The animals will be placed in one bin to used in the block center. The headphones will be used in the iReady center.

Student learning will be enhanced by all of these items.

Creative play and making individual choices is an essential part of social emotional learning in kindergarten. If they choose, they can also do their iReady learning using a headphone for individual learning without disrupting their peers (or the teacher).
