'Playing to Learn and Learning to Play...and Growing Along the Way.' This is my motto as a kindergarten teacher. I know young children learn best through hands-on experience and when learning is made FUN! I keep this in mind as I plan our daily activities, centers, room design and decor. We do A LOT in kindergarten! Basic items like paper, crayons , printer ink, and markers help make our learning more fun and inviting!
My 'Caterpillars,' students, come from diverse backgrounds and range in abilities and focus levels.
They have a wide range of skills, experiences, interests and focusing abilities. As the children's primary teacher, I am responsible for all aspects of their development, both academically and physically.
In Kindergarten, we do A LOT! Our days are loaded with lots of activities that involve basic materials. From crayons and markers, to printer ink and paper... these basic materials are used daily!
We use lots of basic materials like paper, crayons, pencils, and markers to write, draw, and tell our wonderful stories with and create beautiful work with.
We have charts and different resources throughout our classroom to help us become independent learners. When those resources are printed in color, it helps to make them more inviting; which helps kids to use them more! The clipboards will help us make our learning more mobile and easier to help us get comfortable while we are working.
