Help me give my students writing tablets, math materials that will help them develop strong number sense and confidence to be the magical mathematicians they are.

My Project

My class is full of magical mathematicians some of them just donʻt know it yet! I want my students to see that math doesnʻt have to be scary it can be fun and exciting! Giving students hands-on materials and presenting ideas and concepts in concrete ways helps little learners develop strong number sense and confidence in self. The large number track will give students a visual to reference, while the little tech tablets will allow them to solve math problems and hold them up to have friends and the teacher check their work. Place value can be challenging, but having base ten materials to manipulate can help students physically move pieces and visually see different values.

These materials would allow my students the opportunity to explore ideas and concepts alongside of their friends in an unintimidating and fun way.

In fact, a desk pet in his cupcake holder home may even appear to encourage them when tough math problems arrive! Additionally, a wireless doorbell will serve as an attention-getter so students will know when it is time to transition to the next math activity.
