My Students

I teach 1st grade in Mesa, Arizona. We have been focusing on inquiry based learning practices and our Explore Lab will allow our students to take control of their own learning. After a year of unexpected learning challenges, this will bring engagement back to the classroom.

My Project

The Kindergarten and First Grade Teachers at Brinton Elementary in Mesa, Arizona are creating an explore lab for their students to be able to take part in hands on and exploratory learning. We are asking for flexible seating options, classroom decorations, and other project materials for our students.

In this explore lab, our students will have the opportunity to dive deeper into their science and social studies standards with the use of inquiry based practices.

The students will be asking questions throughout our learning process and be expected to use their skills and this space to further their understanding in a student-led way.
