This wonderful kindergarten class is about half low income students in a rural agricultural community.

So much instruction is done whole group while the children are seated on the carpet, they need fun, engaging ways to show the teacher and each other how much they are learning. The alternative is raised hands and individual students answering the teacher.

The "kwik chek" paddles are individual white boards in the shape of a ping pong paddle, which allow the children to quickly write the answer and show it at the same time as everyone else. This saves valuable time, and allows the children to demonstrate how much they know, and have fun with the learning. At the end, I like to have a one minute drawing of a silly face, to make them try as hard as they can during the lesson.

Your generosity will help my students become phonemically aware and become better writers. You will make it possible for many hours of fun and engaging direct instruction. The children will understand how much you care!
