My Students
I am the STEM/computer science teacher at a school in New York. The vast majority of my students are from low socio-economic backgrounds and face many hardships in their daily lives.
My students are energetic and curious, and they motivate me to create new and exciting ways to keep them engaged every single day.
They love coming into my STEM classroom because they know they will be challenged to think outside the box with a hands-on task they must work together to solve.
My Project
With the Fisher-Price Code 'n Learn Kinderbot, students will be able to work together to problem-solve and code their robots!
The Code 'n Learn Robot allows for younger students to be engineers by creating new paths and mazes and decide where their robots will go!
This cool robot also teaches important concepts like shapes, colors, early math, following directions, and problem-solving.
I would love to try the Kinderbot robot with my younger students because I believe it will allow them to be really creative as little STEM coders and engineers!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
