Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are the most inquisitive students that I've taught thus far. They are excited about school and eager to learn all that there is to learn from myself, my co-teacher, and the resources that we have to for them to utilize.

My students are so interrogative and the innocence of it all makes great highlights of my day!

They are the most helpful, caring, compassionate, and fun-loving students that I'd ever seen. I mean, they are just 5-years-old, so just imagine the many emotions we come across on a day to day basis. But no matter how their night has been or the morning they've had, they come to us ready to learn and receive all that we have to give as educators.

My Project

These tablets will help my students practice their daily reading and math skills while using functional up-to-date technology. These materials will open up many opportunities for more rigorous activities for students in my classroom to engage while in groups and independently.

For examples, during our reading centers, students will be able to login to the "Reading A to Z" resource to read and listen to a wide variety of eBooks that are provided on the app.

During math centers, students will be able to utilize the touch screen feature to move manipulatives on math websites such as "abcya" and zearn.org.
