My Project

Our kindergarten students are so excited about the Science of Reading! Everything about reading instruction has changed in the past few years-for the better. This project will bring new materials to our class to support beginning readers in new and creative ways.

Students will be delighted to see a whole cart of reading materials and tools at their fingertips.

Highlighters will be used to find interesting word patterns and heart words. The kids will use pop its to become word segmenting and blending masters. Six sets of color-coded letters allow the kids to become word-building pros. The cart will also house all of the new materials that have been created to get them to be confident reading scientists!
