Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students will be using the garden boxes and stackable planters to have a hands-on learning experience. They will be planting a garden, caring for it, and learning what plants need to grow. They will also be able to observe how plants and animals interact with each other in an outdoor learning setting. Our curriculum provides only small plastic cups to watch plants grow inside a classroom. By planting seeds outside the students will be able to watch their gardens flourish. They will be able to grow plants beyond tiny cups and hopefully grow foods they can eat in the classroom.

Our kindergarteners need a garden to call their own where they can watch their hard work grow.

It is an experience they will never forget, learning how to care for a living plant and grow food simultaneously.
